A Doom Box (Didn't Organize, Only Moved) is a container where you shove miscellaneous items when you need to clear a surface quickly. A Doom Pile is the same concept without the container—just a pile that grows and grows.

It's not laziness. It's executive dysfunction meeting decision fatigue. Each item requires categorization, which requires working memory and cognitive energy. When you're out of both, the solution is "put it all in one place to deal with later." Later never comes. The doom accumulates.
